with min, or radical minimalism, the need for shelter has been minimalized. it is hardly necessary. so is clothing... one outfit shout be all that is needed. furniture is obviously frivolous and is dispensed with.
this is the lifestyle of intentional itinerates. the need for food, clothing, and shelter is obvious in too cold for comfort climates, however, and local shelters should provide all that is required in this respect.
i suggest a mediteranean climate for best results.
a single pot/ mug is all that might be desired and can easily be hung from a belt or slung round the shelter.
not since the days of the cynics has this intentional lifestyle been experienced in the west.
